"Barred Owl"

This Barred Owl was photographed at the Shinglemill Creek Preserve on Vashon Island, Washington. "I was there photographing the landscape as dusk approached. I noticed the Barred Owl which appeared very relaxed being partially camouflaged by the apple tree. As darkness was coming on, I set up my camera and tripod smoothly and quickly, and was rewarded by a very patient owl."
