Ring-Of-Fire Ethiopian Opal & Garnet Necklace

A grape-sized barnacle was found on the wet ground with the perfect pear-shaped opening. Now, this form is cast into solid gold and set with a faceted 2.3 carat Ethiopian Welo opal; nested beside is a glowing red garnet.  

The Ring-of-Fire is an area that surrounds the Pacific Ocean and is volatile - high in seismic and volcanic activity-both of which can cause tsunamis. We love the idea of something so beautiful that’s also so powerful.

This solid 14K gold handmade necklace has a 16” 2 mm rolled cable chain and solid gold lobster clasp.
